We are excited to announce the launch of potable water at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), thanks to the cutting-edge UBTH Water Treatment Project.
This ultramodern project led by our digital-savvy Chief Medical Director, marks the culmination of an 18-month endeavor to install an advanced 8-stage Water Treatment Plant. With a remarkable production capacity of 10,000 liters per hour, this plant employs state-of-the-art purification methods including chemical disinfection, iron removal, high-pressure filtration, microfiltration, and UV disinfection.
Designed with functionality in mind, the plant features food-grade materials such as stainless steel, PVC, and Fiber Reinforced Plastic, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance.
Additionally, the plant includes a water distribution pressure skid, guaranteeing high-pressure water delivery throughout the hospital premises.
What this means for our UBTH family
This groundbreaking upgrade ensures that taps across the hospital will now dispense safe, potable water. This significant enhancement directly contributes to the welfare of our dedicated staff, patients, and visitors. By prioritizing health and well-being, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery at UBTH.
